The Bertie Crewe Gallery

The Bertie Crewe Gallery

New Exhibition

A display of 20 pieces of original art by 12 local artists, all of it for sale. The work, which follows a seasonal theme, features a variety of media: oils, watercolour, acrylics, pastel and mixed media.

Main Information

Since the full reopening of the theatre in September, this is the second exhibition to be staged in the Bertie Crewe Gallery. The artists featured are locally based, and some of their work has recently featured in the Pop-Up Gallery in the Kingfisher Centre in November/December 2021. For the first time, we are also featuring a piece by 12-year old artist Evie Cross, one of our ‘rising stars’(this piece is not for sale).

How do I purchase one of these pictures?

Check the picture number on the work you wish to purchase, consult the picture list, then send an e-mail to include the picture number, artist’s name & title of the work to: artsinredditchsales@gmail.com. We will normally respond within 24 hours, telling you how to make your payment, and when you will be able to collect your purchase.

The exhibition is organised by local charity, Arts in Redditch, in partnership with Rubicon Leisure Ltd, and the commissions payable by the artists on sales of work will be divided between Arts in Redditch and the Palace Theatre volunteer’s fund.

If you do not have access to e-mail, you can call Philip Roberts, Arts in Redditch, on 01527 450382.

What is Arts in Redditch?

Arts in Redditch is a small, locally-based charity run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to its aim of getting more Redditch people engaged in and enjoying creative activity, whatever form that takes.

We work with local partners and established arts organisations to promote their events, and we also run events ourselves, such as the twice-yearly Pop-Up Galleries in the Kingfisher Centre. The next Pop-Up Gallery will be in May 2022.

We are members of the ‘Creative Redditch’ consortium, which has successfully bid for £852,000 of funding under Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places Programme.

If you are interested in joining Arts in Redditch as a member (£6 a year for individuals) please go to our website: www.artsinredditch.com to find out more and to apply online.
