SAPA Youth Theatre is thrilled to present Bugsy Malone, the iconic, splurge-filled musical comedy!

SAPA Youth Theatre is thrilled to present Bugsy Malone, the iconic, splurge-filled musical comedy!

Following the outstanding success of Sister Act, Fame, School of Rock, and Grease, this year’s production promises to be a fast-paced, family-friendly adventure you won’t want to miss.

Step back in time to the roaring 1920s, where prohibition rules and gangsters rule the streets! Join Bugsy Malone, a charming boxer with dreams bigger than his bank account, as he’s reluctantly drawn into the messy rivalry between mob bosses Fat Sam and Dandy Dan.

When Dandy Dan begins taking over the city using the latest weapon, the dreaded “splurge gun”, Fat Sam is desperate to fight back. Soon Bugsy is roped into the conflict, trying to stay out of trouble while also chasing his own dreams… and winning the heart of the ambitious singer Blousey Brown.

Filled with catchy songs, dancing gangsters, speakeasy glamour and laugh-out-loud comedy, Bugsy Malone is a high-energy musical about loyalty, courage, and following your dreams — no matter how messy things get!

This is an amateur production by arrangement with MTI/Faber Music.
