Proving that Redditch DOES have talent!
The Palace Theatre has once again gone out in search of local talent. This show is the culmination of that search, featuring a selection of hand-picked finalists who have come through the audition process and now come together to show you that Redditch really does have talent covering a variety of artistic endeavours. Below are all of the finalists:
A member of vocalize performing arts academy since the age of 6, Lewis has had principle parts in ‘ hairspray’ , ‘back to the 80’s’ and ‘Alice’ at the palace theatre. He is currently working on school production of ‘the lion king’, playing the part of Simba.
A returning finalist from rht2016, Olivia is a passionate dancer, having started dancing aged 5. She would like to do Bollywood as well as classical dance. Olivia has choreographed her dance based on the song called ‘Vahova Na Mora’ and is about worshipping and being accepted by Jesus.
Julia loves to sing and has attended singing lessons since 2016, and although rather shy, she always gives of her best. The youngest of our finalists in 2017, this is her first stage appearance.
William is 13 years old and a budding rock guitarist in the making. He has recently passed his grade 7 electric guitar with merit. It is not all music though, as he also enjoys playing football, rugby, basketball and playing Xbox.
Daisy started dancing aged 5 at Bromsgrove school of dance, She is also part of ‘notorious’, a group at the dance school which performs at various events. Daisy and Megan’s first dance duet was at their school talent show.
Caitlin has been skipping for 7 years, competing at both national and international level. She is a member of ‘jump rope UK’, a skipping club based in Redditch.
Kirsty has appeared at the palace theatre with the palace youth theatre in the productions of ‘his dark materials’ and ‘Sweeney Todd’. She enjoys performing and singing.
Laura is a mother of two and a member of Studley operatic society. She works full time and singing is something she really enjoys.
Emily was the first winner in the 17/18 age group RHT 2015 final she loves to perform on the stage of the palace theatre! Developing her performance style, Emily is leaving her guitar behind for the 2017 final and just using her voice.
Megan began dancing aged 2 ½ years and competes regularly in dance competitions and shows. She has appeared at the Birmingham hippodrome with ‘spirals’ dance and performance academy for the past 4 years.
Nathan has been singing most of his life and performs regularly at his school. He is also interested in American football, dirt biking and drama. He also enjoys cooking - a versatile young man!
Ellie-Mae has been playing guitar since the age of 8 and her aim is to form her own band! Combining her playing skills with singing, she has every chance of doing that very soon!
Having previously sung and acted in her school, Alice is now attending Bourneville college where she is studying theatre and media make-up, but tonight she hopes to ‘paint the town red’ and impress the judges and audience with her vocal skills.
Benjamin is a first year student at the University of Gloucestershire studying drama. He was a member of the palace youth theatre from the age of 8 and now wants to pursue a career in the world of entertainment and the performing arts.
Attending St Augustine’s high school and teaming up with Rachael, her friend and singing partner in the duet for the final, molly is looking forward to wowing the judges and having a lot of fun doing it!
As girly as they come - that’s how Rachael describes herself! She is a marketing consultant and just loves to sing, with her friend and duet partner molly; she is determined to have a lot of fun in the final!
Dan is the oldest performer in the final and is a professional DJ who loves to make people happy. He enjoys bingo, bowling, dancing and good food! He performs a variety of Genre, including songs from musicals, opera, pop and Latin.

Application’s for Redditch Has Talent 2018 will be available on the website and in the box office from November 2017.
