Showing as part of LGBT month Housewife Extraordinaire, Barbara Nice is the alter ego of Holy Mary from Peter Kay's ‘Phoenix Nights'. According to The Times, Barbara Nice (Barbara as in Streisand, Nice as in the biscuit!) is A hybrid between Victoria Wood and Mrs Merton. Not satisfied with having her own sitcom on BBC Radio, Barbara is planning on getting the 146 bus and heading to Redditch for an evening’s entertainment alongside Maureen Younger (“one of the best MCs in the country” – Jo Enright) and Birmingham Northfield’s very own Lindsey Santoro (“innate funny bones” – Psychologies Magazine). Expect an evening of fun, lots of laughter and if you’re really lucky the joys of experiencing dead celebrity musical chairs and a “rubbish raffle”. You never know, you’re luck may really be in and you could end up with a tinned steak pie or a surgical sock!
